Actually Superman or Kal El is the poster child for the Illegal Alien. Neither of his parents are native or even naturalized Americas. Could Clark Kent produce a legal birth certificate and as far as anyone knows he dropped out of the sky into Kent Farm somewhere in the upper Midwest North Dakota or Minnesota perhaps ? Someone needs to sick Sherrif Joe or Maricopa County AZ on this affront to Red Blooded America!
All right, it's only May and I'm already sick of all the election bs, so time to update a far more interesting subject, who is coming out of the closet in DC Comics world of wonder.
Original Green Lantern? Who the heck is that? How is that a major character, I thought he was dead (but I haven't read GL since the late 50's, so what do I know).
And according to Bleeding Cool - "we will learn of Alan Scott’s sexual orientation and his role as a Green Lantern of Earth Two in Earth Two #2, out next month."
Earth Two? What, he can't be gay on Earth One? Maybe DC Comics can only "evolve" so much here on Earth One.
Go ahead make Superman gay. See what happens to the money made off him. A gay Superman movie would probably fail as well. No matter how much gays are accepted, how many people actually want to see him kissing another dude? Not many that's for sure
That's why it'll be an identifiable, but boring character... like the Flash.
From Fox News - "Honchos at Superman's comic book home, DC Comics, said this weekend that one of their most identifiable (but as of yet unnamed) straight characters will soon be coming out of the closet, according to a report".
...
Every time Clark Kent bounced out of the phone booth as Superman dressed all fancy in those tight pants hewas coming out of the closet.
[he's bi]
