Rep. Mike Coffman (R-CO) made headlines earlier this month after he was caught on tape saying that President Obama is “not an American.” The Congressman quickly apologized for his statements and then went into hiding, avoiding public events and ignoring media requests for interviews. But this week, a reporter from a local NBC affiliate met up with Coffman after a closed door meeting and pressed him on the story. Looking visibly uncomfortable, Coffman maintained his calm and repeated, “I stand by my statement that I misspoke and I apologize” five times to five different questions. Watch it (starting around 1:30):
What a coward and a tool. Way to stand behind your words, Congressman. And the most delicious irony of all is that it was a birther who recorded him and posted his words online. This is what happens when you throw in with birthers--once you get their stink on you, you can never get it off. He's finished.
If you completely make up facts out of thin air, you are a member of the "Tea Bagger" crowd. Nothing you just said has any merit or basis in fact. Your delusions and flights of fancy astound me
really? because I saw the bows (multiple)
I watched the rally in Germany with the appology.
you can call me a tea whatever all day long but you cannot call actual events "copletly made up facts"
Who the hell is this guy? Cenk uygur? who he? Why should anybody give any credence to his rants?
As for me, I agree with Coffman. I don't know where obama was born, and I don't care. but, listening to him and watching what he has done for the last five years, I don't believe in his heart he is truly an American. Everything he has done over the past week has only increased that belief.
I will be very glad when December 2016 gets here. Hopefully the replacement will be a better person, a better leader, and a better American!
Big deal.. grow up, and stop whining because Obama was called a bad name..
