She has been trying to get the attention and further her career. This is free publicity of the best kind where she will garner sympathy for an truly tasteless attack.
If anything, I'm pi$$ed at the morons on the left that are giving her free publicity. It's the same reason Palin hasn't faded into the woodwork, the bulk of her support is just the right rallying around her after attacks from the left.

Jesus Freakin' Christ! Hustler, one of the most controversial magazines with one of the most controversial owners ever to grace national syndication, publishes something that could be construed as offensive (it is, in my opinion) and suddenly THAT is what the left stands for?
Two points:
People have a marvelous ability to suck.
People in this country, even those who suck, have a right to free speech.
Sometimes people who suck utilize their free speech rights. That is not a right or left thing but the result of having free speech. Going around and pointing fingers at the entirety of one political group because of what one sucky person exercising his free speech rights says or does is illogical, irrational and speaks of an enormous lack of critical thinking skills.
There are plenty of examples of people who suck exercising their free speech rights and some of them are from the right (KKK, Neo-Nazi's, Westboro Baptist Church) and some of them are from the left (factions of PETA, parts of the ELF, and this Hustler incident).
Does it really require the use of tremendous brain power to deduce such a thing? I mean, when you first derived this thread did you sit down and think deeply about what you were about to write, how you were going to write it, how perfect the logic was, and how you could not find a flaw in your argument? And if you could not find a flaw in your argument, did you decide to post to see if someone else could based on the presumption that maybe you were wrong? Or did you just decide to post this brilliant piece of synaptic misfirings because it was just an easy and convenient way to receive a few rep points while further inciting a divide between the political process?
Hustler is a nudie mag and does not have anything to do with representing "the left", politically speaking. Why do you people fail so bad at comprehending this?
Perhaps a better way to put it is that Hustler and Larry Flynt are representative of the left. This is a very common mentality on the left. Again look at the pic of Bachmann that was plastered all over lefty blogs, and the photoshops of Sarah Palin during the 08 campaign. It's representative, by definintion. That doesn't mean by any means that every lefty shares that mentality, but many do.
However, there are some trends to be seen in the data. Those states that do consume the most porn tend to be more conservative and religious than states with lower levels of consumption, the study finds.
