It seems like public opinion on this issue is launching in the direction of legalization. It won't be long before homosexual couples have the same rights as heterosexual couples.

It's kind of like me as an atheist saying I've decided to convert to Christianity, except that I'm not going to go to church, not going to pray, not going to tithe, etc. I'll leave such activities to others. Is it really a "decision" if there are no deeds behind the words?
Powell engaged in hedging to the highest degree by only discussing the legal argument. He didn't dare try to touch the religious argument, because he knows that in that context THERE IS NO ARGUMENT. Gay marriage cannot possibly be accepted in the context of God's image. Powell dodged and weaved and hoped he didn't called on it. And since it was CNN, of course he didn't get called on it.
I hate that Colon Powell has turned into a double-talking jive artist (ie. politician).

The decision is the personal position on the subject.
I guess if I were a lawyer I'd start preparing now for a new clientele.
