If you think that Teachers here are wrong and should only adhere to YOUR views and our Children should NOT see other aspects of the World today and form their own oppinions ( i think you are scared of intelligent debate and want just brainwashing in our schools) you should become a Teacher instead of a "armchair" teacher criticising the real teachers.
You should follow the link and read what the teacher said to the student. If you continue to defend the teacher in this situation after reading it, I will again invite you out of the Dark Ages; but I would NEVER invite you to become a teacher.

Obsessed with "the group," he said, "You can't make socialists out of individualists. "NEA specialist Paul Haubner, tells us, "The schools cannot allow parents to influence the kind of values-education their children receive in school; . that is what is wrong with those who say there is a universal system of values. Why Our Schools Teach Socialism -- September 2001 Education Reporter

Public Schooling = Social Engineering

Dewey was also an avid capitalist, who believed that the goal of any pursuit should be democracy. Try reading his work for yourself rather than relying on the misguided summaries of others.

"The only difference between Socialism and Communism is an AK47 at the head." says this man who left S.Vietnam for political asylum in the U.S. 35 years ago at the age of 13 and thanks God daily for the opportunity to have escaped it with the help of our Vets.

Yep. That's what they want. Just shut up and learn whatever is put forth regardless of the accuracy or agenda involved. Just shut up and soak it in. Here's another poster who feels the same way. It must be maddening to the public school indoctrinators to have the new media revealing so much that has been going on for so long.

This guy is one of the lucky ones but unfortunately he is in the minority and he seems to forget the 17 million citizens left behind in Vietnam after the fall of Saigon and the many who's names etc were in the files left behind at the American Embassy and were picked up, tortured and killed by the North Vietnamese army.
He can gush all he wants about America being the greatest Country in the World for him but many many more did not find that to be the case even though they actively helped America in Vietnam.
We saw the chaos of the mass exodus from the Embassy in Saigon and can only imagine the pain and death of the ones left behind at the hands of the communist regime.
YES this guy has a lot to be thankful for but there are far far too many who were hung out to dry when America left Vietnam. This was NOT because of Socialism in any way or form and YES there is a huge difference between Communism and Socialism but how would you know? Have you ever lived in a Country that embraces Socialism? Where do you get your views of Socialism from..... the guy in the Video is NOT talking about Socialism.

Yes. He seemed to forget or wanted us to forget that we are a Republic; not a Democracy.

Oh, so democracy is bad now, is it? And on Memorial Day to say such a thing when our fallen soldiers were out there fighting to protect democracy. Disgusting!

He is the one who says the only difference between Socialism and Communism is an AK47 to the head. He has lived through it. He speaks of the evils of Socialism. He has experience. Refugees from Cuba speak the same sentiments. Listen up.

Our soldiers fight for our individual Freedoms; the kind we get from our Republic that grants us our natural, God given rights.

I followed the link and i think that terms like "honky"are wrong and to say that someone who doesn't support ANY President should go to jail is not wanted in our Schools but i also believe that Students should know both sides to all arguments and decide what is wrong and what is right.... just like i did throughout my academic life. If a Teacher told me something i doubted i went home and got as much info on that subject and formed my own opinions.... i didn't go crying to my "mumma" to go fight my battles.
A bad teacher is a bad teacher no matter what they are teaching and the students should go to the school/college and report any kind of bigotry and not rest until it is sorted out. This "kids with cell phones record your socialist teacher" can also apply to "kids with cell phones record religous nut teacher" or "kids with cell phones record right wing agenda teacher"
Socialism being taught is NOT the issue here but the behaviour of the Teacher and bad behaviour of certain teachers occurs no matter what the topic is.
If the thread had been "Bigoted teacher recorded" then that would have been what the problem was but to say "Socialist Teacher" shows the real reason for the thread...........
