Hey, you better get out there and start spreading the news to our soldiers that they aren't out there risking their lives to protect and spread democracy. They'll be happy to her your distinction worthy of a lawyer, when in fact a republic is a kind of democracy. Or are you saying that this country isn't based in Jeffersonian democracy?

Do we get to record right wing creationist teachers blathering on about God in biology class, too? Or is this limited to recording left wing teachers?
I'm all for holding teachers accountable (really wish that evolution-denying, creationism-promoting bio teacher I had got punished for it), but let's at least apply the rules equally.
He is the one who says the only difference between Socialism and Communism is an AK47 to the head. He has lived through it. He speaks of the evils of Socialism. He has experience. Refugees from Cuba speak the same sentiments. Listen up.
This guy has lived under Communism NOT Socialism so his understanding of Socialism is probably non existant. Cuba is a totalitarian communist state headed by General Raul Castro and before him Fidel Castro so the refugees you talk about speak about Communism which is quite different to Communism.
This is the Problem here....... the absolute failure to distinguish between Socialism and Communism.
West (R-Fla.) came under attack this after telling almost 100 Floridians in Palm City that "he's heard" as many as 80 Democrats in Congress are members of the Communist Party. He then went on about Socialism as if the two are one doctrine.... he really is a confused guy.

The co-chairmen of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Reps. Raúl Grijalva (Ariz.) and Keith Ellison (Minn.), said the comments were reminiscent of McCarthyism.
Why is it here that when Communism is mentioned, too many automatically hear the Word "Socialism"....... stupid, i know, but oh so true.
Socialism being taught is NOT the issue here but the behaviour of the Teacher and bad behaviour of certain teachers occurs no matter what the topic is.
If the thread had been "Bigoted teacher recorded" then that would have been what the problem was but to say "Socialist Teacher" shows the real reason for the thread...........

Yes, let's go ahead and arrest the teachers who mention God in the classroom, as soon as we arrest the teacher who threatened arrest of a 13-year old for disagreeing with our Messiah President.

Yes it is a case of Bigotry by a teacher..... the problem here was that she said a racist slur and a threat about any one supporting our President should be arrested. The subject of her class was NOT the problem and ANY teacher teaching ANY subject should be pulled up if using racist slurs or veiled threats..............

Judging by the caliber of the posters on this thread, I think it only applies to the "socialists". If a right winger were spouting off, it would be considered okay, and instilling "traditional American values" into our youth.
Besides, it's the liberals you have to watch out for. We all know that they like to prey on our children.

No. We're almost a pure democracy since the 17th, 19th, and 26th Amendments. Notice that this decline began just after 1910.

You should be considered a straightforward partisan hack for defending a teacher who threatens arrest of a 13- year old.
And attempt to dismiss it as simple bigotry. You need to get real and face your own dishonesties.
Name-calling is bigotry. Arrest over political disagreements is communism.
