I read in this AM's paper that 45% of Vets from Iraq and Afghanistan are or have applied for VA disability. The highest percentage from any of our conflicts.
I saw a program last night on pbs called "War". It was actual film from WW2 shot from both sides (u.s. & germans). It was graphic & all kids in school should watch it to be reminded how good they have it here in america & see what war was all about.

Probably a reflection on the multiple tours many have had. So Few are fighting for so many.
Up until recently, my primary veterans charity has been the VFW. It is only in the last few months that I have been made aware of the WWP, and now it certainly has been added to the list. Like so many other veterans, I can recall my time spent in uniform in great detail and with pride. Some of the best times of my life were during my periods of service, and of course there were other times that were not good at all. The bad I try to push back and away and to bring back the good ones.
