Since most kids do carry their cell phones in school it seems to me that they should record anything like what happened in North Carolina a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I am wrong but this blogger suggests that before they put their recordings on YouTube they check their state's laws about two party agreements for such things. At least they could let their parents hear what is being thrown at them by their teachers. One would have to wonder how many teachers would be needed to replace some of those who attack 1st Amendment rights of students.

maybe because he is already paying that teachers salary and for that school via his taxes !
He certainly has the right to complain about a public school that he is helping fund.
I pay my taxes too for teachers salaries but i would prefer my kids to be taught all aspects of things like Socialism and NOT what the unenlightened feel should be taught about Socialism or evolution etc etc. Maybe that is why education is at such a low in this Country....... teachers are no longer allowed to do their jobs without bigots interfering.

Yes, clearly paying attention to recording the teacher is far more likely to lead to better grades than actually paying attention.
It's great that we have people around here putting forward strategies on how to compete with China, India, Korea, Germany, etc. While they're in a rush to make people more educated, we're spending more time dealing with issues from social conservatives.
I support transparency in our govt institution, so yeah kids/parents should be able to do this.
Transparency????????????????????????? Kids using cell phones to record teachers is NOT transparency... it is little idiots deciding they don't feel what teacher is saying quite gels with what Dad or Mom says.
Today kids are more interested in recording on their cell phones than actually listening or growing up. They record fights, bullying, cats being stomped on and anything they feel might get on you tube.... disgusting!
you want to encourage your kids to be just "voyeurs" in life... go ahead but this has NOTHING to do with transparency.... if you are so bothered about what teachers do in the class put cctv in.... not even the most Socialist country does that but you seem to want to..... Maybe we should have cctv in the Mayors office or Maybe kids should record what goes on at home too of CEO's who get tax bailouts to make sure we aren't funding their lifestyle?
