The TSA in its infinite wisdom has saw fit to hire a former Roman Catholic Priest who was defrocked in 2002 over sex-abuse allegations. Apparently he had a penchant for young girls.

A Catholic priest who was defrocked in 2002 over sex abuse allegations has a new job...with the TSA. CBS Philadelphia reports that Thomas Harkin, who worked at churches across southern New Jersey before being removed by the Diocese of Camden because he was found to have abused young girls, now has a job as a "Transportation Security Manager, Baggage" with the TSA at Philadelphia International Airport.

On a positive note, he didn't molest young boys - that is a positive step forward in the eyes of the Roman Church.

"baggage" they say ? Oh just give it a bit of time ..he'll work his way to the "people side" of the groping game and get his jollies off.

They shouldn't have hired him...for obvious reasons.

As long as he only deals with screening baggage and not people, I don't have a problem with the TSA hiring him. People going to hell need to work in the meantime.

The TSA does NOT have a good track record when it comes to supervising and knowing about their employees.

Poor taste is the Roman Catholic Priests raping and molesting boys and the church covering it up. Calling them out on it is not poor taste, rather something that is very much needed.

Oh, I totally agree. But did you read the article? In the scheme of things, this guy is the least of the problems with the TSA:

"In April, it was found that the TSA gave Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport (the world's busiest) license to hire "any workers needed" for the job due to a backlog of background checks."

SCARY!!!!
