I don't. In my opinion, government employees should not be allowed to unionize.

We elect representatives to look out for our own interests. With public sector unions, there's an obvious conflict of interest. They're lobbying for higher wages and higher benefits, and who pays for it? We do.

There's also a conflict of interest between public sector unions and Democrats holding office. Democrats want to hire as many government workers as possible, pay them wages and benefits that are as generous as possible, all so that union workers will do more to get them reelected.

I don't know how anyone can support this type of scheme with a clear conscience. It's a scam.

Even FDR was against them, talk about a conflict of interest.

I support no unions at all.

I feel everyone should be self employed and held accountable.

Very interesting idea. It's often bothered me that employers are required to take care of their employees by paying for their Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment insurance (both state and federal, in most cases).

It's pretty obscene here. Example: Remember the pepper-spraying campus cop who made the news a few months ago? His salary was $110,000 - and that was after a 5% pay cut. It used to be $116,000 - for a campus police officer? Insane.

The problem that I have with public unions, is that many of them own health insurance providers and then use collective bargaining to create a monopoly for the health insurance provider that they own.

For example, in Wisconsin, the teacher's union owns WEA Trust (health insurance provider) which has monopolies at most of the local school districts. The WEA Trust then over charges the local school districts above fair market value, because the school districts must buy from WEA Trust. This means less money for the schools and more tax payer money forked over to Unions that get away with it by donating money to Democrats.

Opps voted wrong damnit now I am a ******* for the day.

No I don't support public sector unions, at least in my state. My state has some of the the stongest public employee labor protections built into the labor code of the state.

Your punishment should be that you have to do volunteer work for the "Repeal Scott Walker" campaign. And then you'll (hopefully) never make that mistake again.
