They have been around a very long time, the door mats. I honestly do not beleive they mean any disrespect to the patriotism of the American Flag. I don't think that some view stepping on the door mat, is evil or bad. Some i think, find the American Flag Sympbol in itself, entering upon one's home, is very welcoming and nothing more.
People today, are very sensitive to some things, that years, ago, we would not even think badly about.
What i find more disgusting then entering one's home and being welcome by an American Flag door Mat, is those who burn it, and people have no problem with that at all!
Correct. I see no problem with someone displaying the flag in many different ways to show their love for the Nation, including a door mat.
However, burn one in front of me and I will express my patriotism in a different way.

Having respect and loyalty to your country is a plus.. common sense goes along way but some don't have any and don't want any.

Yeah those little pins are the worst. Total conformity to the will of plenty of idiots in the electorate.

It's not a flag, it's a picture of a flag. They can pull them from Lowes for all I care. I'm still working on my flag diaper and flag toilet seat cover.

I have been to Lake Saint Louis. It's a small town far enough outside St. Louis to be not a suburb of St. Louis. I'm sure this was just a case of somebody not thinking clearly. Maybe the Lowes mgr hadn't had his coffee yet when he ordered the doormats. I doubt that this even deserves to be a story.
