Why would u want ceo's to receive such large payouts? These guys get huge bonuses even when the companies lose money. Ceo's ain't pro ball players...they need to be paid like they were 30 years ago...

Many do not accept in store applications any longer. Places like Wal-Mart does have in store computers to fill out an application though but not all do.

Whats to stop you from using the store computer to fill out the application? They all have a way to submit applications or they wouldnt have employees working for them.

Why is it your business to determine how much someone else deserves? If I feel like paying someone X, how is that your business? What you going to do next, regulate how much I can pay someone to cut my grass?
Sure, you can go to the library and fill out the application as long as you have a phone for them to contact you on.
I guess since they need a place to mail your paperwork, we should be providing everyone with housing as well, right? Dont stop there, without electricity, your alarm clock wont go off, so we need to pay for everyones electric bills.. Ooh and if you cant get a shower, you'll stink and get fired, guess we'll move onto free water for everyone soon!!
Oh yes, this is great. As long as everyone has a fridge and a TV, it's ok to pay CEO's obscene amounts of money while paying workers less, and cutting back on their benefits, and cutting back on the number of employees. But how are people going to get to work if they can't afford a car and gas and car insurance? Public transportation needs to be improved but to do that, taxes need to be increased on you-know-who. This says nothing of the people who work for businesses like Wal-Mart that provide inadequate health insurance, and cannot guarantee employees a 40-hr. workweek. Nor does it say anything about the families who have been made homeless due to job layoffs and the mortgage implosion.
Who said poor people have computers? The poor go to the public library to use computers.
Keep digging up justifications for abandoning your responsibility to the nation. Nice hobby. You're providing us with a real-life experience of what it must have been like during FDR's presidency, when accusations of "socialism" were daily fare.
It IS perfectly OK for a private company to make the choice of what to pay their CEO, their employees, what benefits to offer and how many employees you need to run your PRIVATE business.
It's not OK to pretend that the definition of poor in this country means those people are starving to death, and living is squalor.
