And what is with the cop in Boston saying "Had she not followed the protocol we might have used force."? MIGHT have used force? Huh? Don't they ever learn?

Of course she should have been arrested, and frankly I would have probably been sympathetic with the security folks if they "winged" her prior to the arrest.

Some folks just don't get it, so the adults need to send the message to these morons.

I'm sorry, but I expect more from a student at MIT.

Guess you can't teach "common sense"!!

for the umpteenth time, there is no free speech. nowhere in the Constitution does it give you the right to say anything you want.. just like there is no freedom of expression that lets you express anything you want. Everything has to have its limits, otherwise you have anarchy.. which seems to be popular around here...

Hasn't she read the signs at the airport? We take things seriously, a threat is not a joke.

What the hell was she doing there to begin with? Don't tell me she was exercising anything. She made it a point to go exactly there to flaunt a joke. Arrest her but and take her to jail.

I was down in Florida and picked up a friend of mine that flew in. I was detained by the security folks for a few minutes to figure out why I called across the room, "Hi jack". They detained me and questioned me. It was a completely innocent remark on my end. but I appreciated what they did and how they handled it. I hadn't seen my friend in several years and when he come down the ramp I simply called out to him. His name is Jack. I said, "Hi Jack!" They didn't think it was funny, but in the end we all laughed.
