How am I "going off on a tizzy?" I'm merely stating my opinion too, and my opinion is that you're being paranoid for no reason. Do you really think there's some gay army pressuring big businesses?
P.S. I said I don't care about JCPenney having a gay ad & spokesperson - not that I don't care about what you said.
"And where exactly would "catering to the gay population" get us? How would that affect your life, America's financial stability, the economy, etc?"
That to me is a "tizzy" as it's completely off topic as I mentioned nothing relating to affecting my life, the financial stability of the US or the economy. Or had nothing to do with "poop" either.
I guess you're revealing your sexist nature by assuming I'm a man.
And I thought you were a liberated, gender equality kind of "girl," kshe95...
How is that relevant to women's liberation or sexism? I thought you were a man too, so it must be your screenname or past comments which made us think that... it's the internet, so you can't blame us for getting a gender wrong occasionally. You know how many times I've been mistaken for a man on here, even though FEMALE is clearly stated in my profile? Many times, and yet I've never accused anyone of being sexist because of it.
That said I'm over homosexuality as an issue. I want it gone. I wish we could get over the last hurdle because frankly the controversy over it is annoying the crap out of me.
Don't worry. It's happening - quicker than most of us think. Here's what the future is bringing us:
"Says a young GOP political operative: "More people inside the GOP are okay with gay marriage than outsiders and liberals would think...It's something Dems want to fight for, but by and large it's something conservatives don't really care about."

Uhhh, did you not mention the banking industry in your comparison? That seems rather financial-related to me, LOL. Forgive me if I misunderstood, but using the banks as an example is what brought up those comments - so it was hardly off-topic, as I took your post.

LMAO... it was the only word I could use without toeing the line of a TOS violation.

Honestly, I thought it was a nod to jazz music... Coltrane (now realize it's spelled differently) and Doc something-or-other? Never really thought about it until now, but sometimes you just get a "gender feeling" for a certain poster or screenname. Guess that's what happens when people assume I'm a male, since Gizmo was a boy in the Gremlins movie. If you're implying I thought you were a doctor, and that's why I believed you were male - not a chance.
