Who said that? We could continue listing companies if you'd like, but I doubt anyone here has the time to list every single department and clothing store in the country. So where do you shop, and are you sure they don't employ or support any gay people?

Oh, and they weren't just talking about clothes as far as I could tell... JCP, Wal-Mart, Target, etc, sell a LOT more than clothing!

That's fine, but there are lots of businesses that support conservative causes as well. Would you have a problem with them?

For example, I avoid buying pizza from Domino's because of their support for right-wing causes. Nothing wrong with that. We all vote with our dollars to a certain extent.

I don't shop for clothes at a "company".

That would be nice, if we could actually be sure all parents do that - but they don't, as I'm sure you already know (but are just feigning ignorance here).

And wow, we really are going back in time lately! I thought that was a dead issue by now, and they've been teaching sex Ed since my 64yo parents were in school. As Howard Stern recently said, this generation should be dubbed "Generation Backwards."

How come you need to be sure that all parents are doing so?

Point blank: Where are you going to buy your clothes, your groceries, your electronics, vehicles, computers, etc.? Or are you afraid we're going to ruin it for you by informing you that someone there is of sound mind?

Well, good for you... do you buy anything at a "company," or do you live Amish style?

FYI, even the independent shops have to get their products from somewhere - unless it's a 100% in-house kind of place, but those are pretty rare where you live. And you obviously have a computer and Internet service, so thanks for supporting the gay-friendly Silicon Valley businesses!

Where I buy things is irrelevant. What is relevant to the discussion is that I most certainly am not going to be unable to get hold of neccesities just because I choose to boycott certain merchants - you act as if the places that support homosexuality are the only games in town. You are incorrect - and the only people who will lose if it comes down to economic warfare are places like J.C. Penney.

To quote a popular conservative mantra, because I don't wanna pay for their kids' babies (when contraception isn't being taught). And as somebody who works with teens daily, I also don't want them coming to ME with their questions!

Hey, boycott whoever you want if it makes you feel better! We're just pointing out that you'll still inevitably support a "gay-friendly business," especially seeing as you're in California.
