They said things were very tough in Nevada for a while, and your home prices were way down too.
"Were"?
All the idiot California based wannabe house flippers and pretend real estate investors destroyed the housing market here. That's great if you're a buyer, but it's going to be a long time before the market recovers.
That is why you only take what you can afford to lose. You take more it's on you and nobody else.
Not bad when you win, i have money to take if i choose,, but why take more, lose more as you say.
The most i have ever won is $1,000 don't laugh but i only take $250 to gamble with. That is for the whole day.
I appreciate a very good show, love the shows, there are many. The bands, the groups, i am a rocker! love rock and roll.
They have some very fine restaurants, take your pick, they are there.
It is good to get away for while. We have a time-share there with some other family members, and we take turns, using it if we want.
I love the shopping malls there, love them. Who does not love Caesars Palace and the other beautiful Casinos.
I luv luv luv, the Jersey Boys show, luv it, i can see it over and over again.
Nevada is the only state worse off than California so I don't know how casinos are helping but judging from the Indian casinos I've been in, at least the Indian casinos are good.
They provide good entertainment and you don't have to gamble, you can get all you can eat crab legs at their buffets, catch some of the entertainment and only gamble if you feel like it. Plus people can have a vacation close to home -- bring their RV and "camp" in the parking lot or rent a room, drink, stay off the roads, have some fun.
It really doesn't matter if they are good for cities. If they are, they will be successful businesses. If not, they will go out of business.
We don't need any government restrictions on gambling.
So how good something is only has to do with how much money it makes? Tobacco companies must be great then. So must the banks that led to the financial crisis. There is such a thing as something being good for a certain sect of people, but bad for the rest. If you believe that living in a caste society is good then maybe you won't have a problem with that, but I think most of us have decided that that's not the type of system we want to live in.

That is not the only reason, i have realtor friends who live and work in Vegas. Some people buy way over their head, the way it always is.
I doubt seriously that only house flippers are from Calif, that is a ignorant statement. Infact i know one that does that from the East Coast. He lives in Vegas part of the year, and New Jersey, the other part.
Look the market all over ain't grand, get use to it, and this economy wanabe that was suppose to be great Change. And maybe there is too many idot people in vegas, who blow every cent they make on gambling. I do know some of them too.
And also your job situation in Vegas, i understands sucks as it does in some Counties here.. ....... More then one reason why your economy sucks too.

Nevada is the only state worse off than California
Although I am too lazy to look up the exact numbers, the last I knew California has approximately a 16 billion dollar deficit while Nevada is around 3 billion. Therefore, I do not know how you arrive at that conclusion?
