"A mother in Arizona left her 5-week-old baby on top of her car and drove away, not even noticing when the seat and the baby fell off in the middle of an intersection. Fortunately the baby was uninjured and was later found by neighbors still strapped into his safety seat, according to ABC. Catalina Clouser, the infant’s 19-year-old mother who had allegedly been smoking marijuana, was arrested for charges of child abuse and driving under the influence. She reportedly drove a dozen miles before realizing her baby was missing, states The Tucson Citizen."

People have done similar things when sober. What's your point? Take the billions we waste on marijuana law enforcement and apply it to giving healthcare to low income at risk mothers. You'd save a ton of babies.
Uh, using alcohol and drugs to excess leads to impairment and short-term memory issues. The same thing could have happened if she was drunk or on prescription medication.
Drinking can be just as bad, as we all know. How many die due to alcohol, whether by illness, accident, etc each year?
Weed is nothing compared to the harm alcohol has caused, or should I say people who abused it have caused. Honestly, I wish alcohol didnt exist. People will never stop abusing it and we will continue have many, many victims each year, many who are innocent bystanders.
When the substance being used destroys short-term memory to the point that people forget about newborn babies, the substance becomes the issue.
100% wrong. The behavior is the issue, not the substance. All substances, when abused or used in quantity, destroys memory. So you advocate the elimination of alcohol as well?

These kinds of mental lapses happen to stoners all the time, and this time it almost cost the life of an infant.
