There's a big difference. Voting is a constitutional right, meeting Michelle Obama is not. Regulations that throw up roadblocks to voting should be considered carefully. Secret Service practices to limit access to the first lady are reasonable. Next, you'll be arguing that people have to pay to have dinner with Obama at a fundraiser, so poll taxes are reasonable. Get real.
But, but, but its too hard, racist, expensive, civil rights violation to ask people to get a ID. Isn't that the liberals talking point? I guess there will be no elderly/minority people at the book signing.
So, she's discriminating against blacks, hispanics and the elderly, huh?
Lefties are so dumb, they don't even follow their own talking points!
LOl, pretty much. Even liberals know there is nothing wrong asking people to show ID's at the voting booth, but they have to play politics and follow the party line.
Let's say you are president. Would you want strangers that are coming near your wife to at last have an ID so as to know who they are? It is called just being smart. Any President's wife will have this.
She's discriminating against blacks, hispanics and the elderly....according to what the lefties say about them not having photo ID.
With all the vile things that have been said about the 1st Lady, her security probably thought it was wise to card people. I'm fine with it, but realize it's because of the sad state of violent racist rhetoric spewed nowadays...
And what about the security of our voting rights? I guess thats not such a big deal huh? Hey, who cares if we make it easier to commit voter fraud.....

I'm sure the Pres and wife had no say in the matter. The Secret Service probably required it. Are we done with this topic now, or is someone going to start a third thread on it?
Why do they assume the people whos lives are such a mess they cannot provide an id are all on their side? Low self esteem?
This was explained three pages back. Re-read the thread.
