There is a Budget we are operating on, has been since last August. Also, why would Harry want to bring the 30 some eliminate reg and tax cuts for the wealthy payoffs to the floor?
A Continuing Resolution is NOT a budget.
You have made the same claim many times and have been debunked every time.
Don't you get tired of eating crow?
And now you are claiming every one of those 30 plus bills are identical in every aspect and the ONLY thing in them is " eliminate reg and tax cuts for the wealthy.
You made the claim now back it up or apologize to the board for posting a lie.

A Continuing Resolution, or series of them, can only be done 1, 2, or .... 15 ... how many times? Errr, please point out where those rules are found.
That thinking might work in the trailer park, but those of us in the real world need employees and managers that have a clue and are educated. The US already has a very low rate of people graduating with a degree amongst first world countries. Pushing education further out of reach doesn't help us compete with the Germans, Chinese, etc.
We actually have too many kids graduating from college and not enough with a vocational education.
Government should be in the student loan business, otherwise many would not have access to higher education (it would return to what it was historically, a place for the rich to send their children for advanced degrees). Private student loans have interest rates at or around 12-18%...and many wouldn't have access to the loans period.
Not true at all. There are hundreds of millions of dollars (private, not government) available for scholarships every year.
And millions of us have worked our way through college without government loans or private loans or money from mom and dad.
Exactly. How foolish it is to make taxpayers back these loans. Let the students get loans just like everyone else from a bank or other lending company, keep the government out of it completely.
Or work their way through college... or learn a trade.
Are you talking about the student loan interest rate extension? Keeping the interest rate at 3.4% rather than 6.8% translates to a lot more savings than $6/month for many, if not most, people with student loans. Or are you referencing something else?
The rate only applies to NEW student loans (subsidized Stafford loans) taken out during the period in which the extension is applied. Outstanding loans will not be affected...... Students who have previously borrowed will NOT see their rates "double" as Democrats have tried to paint in the media.
It's a dog and pony show intended to rile up leftist numbskulls in college who see everything through the prism of Evil Conservatism.
Democrats are lying to them on purpose. Don't fall for it.

Can you point to where anyone of significance said existing loan rates would rise? I haven't heard that.

The Education Department expects 7.4 million undergraduates to borrow subsidized Stafford loans next year averaging $4,226. Doubled interest rates would add around $1,000 in costs, which for the typical loan taking 12 years to repay would mean less than $10 monthly in added expense.
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York estimates that at least 37 million Americans owe $870 billion for outstanding student loans, a figure that is growing and that exceeds the money owed for credit cards or auto loans. Four in 10 people under age 40 owe money for a college loan, the bank says.
