The origins of the united states of america that most of us live in on this forum could be considered (ok who are we kidding ) is the greatest nation in history. From the fight for independence in the revolutionary war to the signing of the declaration of independence, to the US constitution.

The founding fathers of this nation were the most revolutionary of all time.

Though the question, how would the founding fathers be considered politically?

considering what they were, they would be freedom loving liberals in the classical sense, meaning liberals in our founding fathers days were liberty minded people.

not in the sense of what liberals are today.

Let's see...black folks are not counted as people. And women can't vote. Don't forget they developed the Electoral College....as they considered most Americans too stupid to be trusted with real matters of politics. I would say they make Newt and Santorium look like flaming leftists.

You need two scales. One would have to be for social conservatism.

They left God out of laws, off of the currency and kept religion out of people's lives. They also didn't care about abortion.

and washinton himself believe that no potus should ever serve more than 2 terms as no potus should be a king.

that would also make FDR & woodrow wilson in our founding fathers eyes look like king george as well.

I was thinking the same thing, I was very surprised to see that half so far voted "very conservative"

Of those that voted that way, care to give an explanation?

You obviously don't know the meaning of the word conservative, or revolutionary. By definition and nature, revolutionaries are not conservative.
