Is gender confusion a natural thing too, not a choice?

It's biological. And since it's (again) one of those things that shouldn't affect anyone outside of the transgendered person and their immediate families, I never understood why other people feel fit to get involved or discriminate?

It's just an endless fascination how these people who claim to support the idea of less government continually try to increase government in areas where it's unwanted, unneeded, and unnecessary.

Because personal freedom is less important to the majority of today's "moral conservatives" than their tax money.

"Their" definition of "limited government" means less taxes, not less regulation of their personal lives.

Uh hello! We wish that were the case, The old rehtoric about conservatives need to stay out of the bedroom and sex lives, who is bring it into the public square and making it an issue looking for protected legal status? I really wish I never heard the word transgender or had to be involved but when someone comes looking for a job from me, and can't decide if they are a man or woman and I am expected to hire them or be in violation of the law it becomes my business!

It also used to be "people's own business" when they chose not to hire someone specifically because they were black, or a woman... I'm not putting the two issues on the same level but it's not fair to allow segments of society to be economically disenfranchised because of phenomena they may have little control over.

OK, even though silas has hijacked the thread to take attention away from the silly family values "debate" or better put the dog and pony show posted for us by OP, let's play along. Yes, research shows there are consistent physical differences in the brain evidenced by this section of society, although it has not yet been conclusively determined whether this difference was something they are born with or something that develops due to upbringing and environment. So what?

Fundamentalists don't care if it is science or choice, let's get real. They don't believe in much of legitimate science first off, and second causality makes absolutely no difference in their minds. They just know they are going through the pearly gates, and will be sticking their tongues out at everybody else. So really what is the point of discussing. You know they are just "dying" no pun intended, for that Day of Reckoning to really, really come in their lifetimes so they can give everybody else the middle fingers as they step on the cloud elevator going up in the sky.
