I am not going to disagree with you on this, but when you have a much higher standard of living compared to the vast majority of places in the world it happens. By the way, entitlement goes across the political spectrum.

Default Teacher tells high school graduating class "you are not special"

As a longtime HS teacher myself, I can confirm that no graduating class is special. But each graduating class has some members who are exceptional and will go on to do good things and achieve success. Each individual is special to their friends and family, though.
