Your point? Other than that you are trying top pass off a tiny splinter group as representative of some substantive opinion?

Or are you simply trying to slyly mock non-Christians? Hey, go for it.

If the sheet fits, wear it.
Considering this group predates the state of Israel and was formed back in 1935 and has several thousands members worldwide, I guess this means their point of view has no validity?

Please explain in detail how I am trying to, "slyly mock non-Christians"? If you are going to accuse me of it, then please tell me and everyone else exactly what you mean.

As to your attempt to label me a member of the Klu Klux Klan, I take great offense to this and I hope this goes to show the kind of person you really are. It is a personal insult and I demand an apology for your insistent alluding to my being Anti-Israel, Antisemitic, and associated with the KKK. It is simply repugnant and beneath contempt.

So I have some sympathy for those not wishing to go down that path.
NewToCa, as I mentioned earlier about prejudice and preconceptions. See above a classic example.

Funny, isn't it. Here we were discussing the visit to our country by a man who not only denies the Holocaust, but is actively engaged in encouraging its repetition.

But to some, it's all about finding a tiny fringe group who supports his bizarre and mendacious approach to human life. Oh, and expressing false injury at being brought up short in their efforts to make light of the suffering of the Jewish people.

That is, in effect, expressing support for and providing resonance to anti-Semitic and anti-Israel views. If you are under the delusion that you can frighten me into silence on this issue, you are badly mistaken.

Again Yeledaf, it was you who brought the issue up in YOUR thread headline. I only showed that there is some Jewish friends of Ahmadinejad, I didn't make any judgments as to if they were fringe, mainstream, noble, kooks or anything else, only that they were in fact Jewish people.

Instead, you the accused me of being a Klan member and Antisemitic. That sir is a PERSONAL attack and completely uncalled for since it is quite evident by my own discussions I have never expressed hatred or animosity towards any peoples due to race, religion or color. If nothing else, I have pointed out intolerance by Christians, Jews, and Muslims across the board through many discussions.

I don't want to silence you, in fact I hope you keep on running your mouth and showing people the type of person you actually are. I need not make a fool of you, you are doing quite well on your own sir. May your children be sent off in the world expecting the same tolerance you exhibit.

Just to get back to the thread for a second...

I think that one of the outcomes of this meeting was that Ahmadinejad has substantial ability to suppress minority voices in his country, with Mullah support. The women in Iran are getting more "requirements" placed upon them about what they wear, especially if they want things such as medical care. He holds a conference in his country to discuss issues, and invites folks, even Jews, who have a predisposition towards his view of the world.

In coming to Columbia, he saw the folks largely in opposition to Bush, but saw a fierceness in their questioning and reaction. He saw academic leaders be harsh and direct, although they probably represent the opposition to Bush. This might have been a bit of an eye opener for him, especially having grown up in the period when the US was being shoved around by Iran.

Perhaps he walked away with an impression that the US is populated with fairly fierce folks, and he may want to think a little bit harder about provoking us too much. Perhaps we are a little less passive than he was led to believe.

1. Using a well-worn cliche in an ironic way is apparently over some peoples' heads.

2. I accused you of nothing. I don't even know you. What I said, in effect, was: if you wish to imply antisemitic attitdues, feel feee to embrace anti-semitic groups.

3. The kind of person I am has nothing to do with the information exchanged on these boards, beyond the fact that I at times post items from a perspective that some people are unable to deal with without losing their temper. That you are among this group is regrettable.

That was my impression, as well.

He'll have a friendlier audience today, however.

No, not really. But I will dumb it down for you.

I can be pretty helpful that way.

The US does not really have any business messing or bytching about other countries when we have plenty of mess of our own to fix and clean.

Not only does the messing and bytching about others result in our neglecting our problems, but generally tends to put us deeper into our own problems -- for example the Iraqicide, so far has squandered at least $600 billion. End numbers are now showing to be a Trillion. That is so mind-boggling stupid it is numbing. For that money and effort, we could have been totally energy independent and could have stopped shipping any oil from the Middle East (or elsewhere) – effectively starving the entire Middle East terror industry.

But now are importing more oil, far deeper in debt, and looking for more wars, when we could have none of that.

Instead here we sit like bankrupt retarded idiots at the casino ranting about some hack who would have put out of business if we did not keep choosing to run our fool mouths and pay and play yet another round.

Unless we do.

And who did all that money go to? Rush Limbaugh?

But now are importing more oil, far deeper in debt, and looking for more wars, when we could have none of that.

a)We're importing more oil becuase our economy is growing. b)We're in debt because we consume. c) Heck, we could have had peace in 1941...

Oh, okay. Ignore it and it will go away. Like a melanoma.

How big a wall would you like to build to keep the world out?

dunno that anyone said anything about a wall in this. Is Israel's wall working for them?

As far as the rest . . . .

Rush Dimbulb? I suppose he has his cut from being broadcast (and paid) on Armed Forces Radio? Dunno how all the various kicks and cuts work in that domain. But he is pinker druggie at best. But of course you know that.

I am thinking a whole lot more money is going off to Dubai (Halliburton), the rest of the MIC, and really who even knows where else. Billions in cash have just plain been raked and stolen. But of course you know that as well.

And . . .

a)We're importing more oil becuase our economy is growing.

No, we are just consuming more than we produce and going in debt. Inflation adjust GDP is negative. Increasing debt is not growth. I trust you are not an accountant?

b)We're in debt because we consume.

We are in debt because we have off-shored our income producing businesses. Our only real products now are weapons, debt (the currency) and trash (recyle out to the productive world).

c) Heck, we could have had peace in 1941...

Not likely, we both know that, but I guess you obliged to create the lame sideways move?

Oh, okay. Ignore it and it will go away. Like a melanoma.

Our only cancers are internal. As with all cancers. Our problems in the Middle East are of our making. Stop making the problem and the problem stops.

'Twas always so, pal. That's the nature of government.

We've had one negative GDP quarter following four years of positive ones. I trust you are not an arithmetic teacher?

Oh, dear. Microsoft, Boeing, McDonalds, Starbucks, Cisco, Google? Better give it up...

I just took your argument to its absurd conclusion. Try to keep up.

Translation: run away and hide. Never works.
It's way past time for isolationism. That was Zen. This is Tao.
