They're words people, usually even used with no meaning other than a verbal exclamation point. Such an arbitrary thing to care so much about if you think about it.

Doesn't Massachusetts have some of the oldest anti-swearing legislation in the country? I think it dates back to when the Puritans founded it.

Oh yeah, we still have the oldest "anti" everything laws still on the books. No one seems to dig them up. Just make more laws and waste the taxpayers money.
