This is interesting. If one were to only follow threads here in the P/C forum you'd think crime was just out of control. Oh well, I'm sure facts will do nothing to sway the scaremongerers.
Kind of puts to the lie Obama's claim that we need more public sector spending. Certainly that does not appear to be the case with respect to police officers. And I haven't heard of fires going unfought for lack of firemen. And as for teachers, it seems the more teachers we add the worse public education becomes. So less spending on the public sector would appear to be the prudent course. Unless, of course, the public weal is not the issue but rather the support of public sector unions for Obama's campaign. Now it all makes sense.
