I think it is instructive to note that Obama's tenure has been so ruinous that the left is running far and fast away from it. Take this poster for example, he tries to imply that Obama is a moderate, by comparing him to Bush. Obama is no moderate.

I'll be darned if his own words don't confirm him as such. If that's not enough, his voting for wall street bailouts as a senator is fine example of taking wealth from the middle class and productive classes and redistributing to the already wealthy bankers and financial execs.
Obamas war effort is another example which involves taking money from middle/ productive classes and redistributing to defense contractors,lobbyists, consultants..
It would also be true to say Obama is a facist. His healthcare plan is perfect example of state control over a private industry.
Communist? You bet.
Government ownership of GM and much of the mortgage industry for example.
Of course these traits apply to many of our present day politicians and not just Obama.
This only backs up my opinion that his presidency has been like a third George Bush term. Aside from the Health Care law (and now the the Gay Marraige issue), there's very little difference between the Obama and Bush Administrations.
