Agreed. I like Obama for the most part, but we should have been done before now.

Yes, but this thread is about Obama, not Bush. Bush is out of office and there is nothing we can do about his wasted war. Obama is in office and is wasting our people and money on the same useless war. We can do something about Obama... vote him out.

He's also a murderer. He has expanded his powers to include murder of people he thinks are guilty. Never mind that they have not been tried or convicted. Obama has them killed.

Sorry to disappoint you but we should have gotten out before 2005. And now we should have gotten out before 2012.

Your boy has no excuse for not getting out 3 years ago.

You start a thread about Afghanistan, yet want to exclude mention of Bush.

Beyond denial. Beyond bizarre.

Well, not really, because it's just another "hate Obama for what Bush did" thread. You Obamaphobes are amusing.

Has nothing to do specifically with Obama.

This is what happens when you allow the military industrial complex to take over.

That was Iraq. Revenge for Saddam threatening his dear old dad. Well, that and the fact that Cheney's Halliburton would suck up billions of taxpayer dollars in the process. Oh, and putting Iraq's oil production offline for years was a big plus for his Saudi pals, too. 9/11 was a convenient excuse to use in order to drum up public support. Even though none of the 9/11 hijackers was from Iraq and most were Saudis.

We were sold on Afghanistan as a campaign to free them from the Taliban. We should have been out shortly after their first "free" election that put Karzai in power back in 2004. But by then, Bush was far too involved with his invasion gone wrong in Iraq to any attention to his first war.

War was more sucessful ( and affordable) when we only had 50 men on the ground.
