Sen. Rand Paul will be introducing a bill to ban the use of drones anywhere over the U.S. He wants to put a stop to it before their use increases.
He stated that the use of drones is a violation of the 4th amendment. The Supreme Court ruled that the use of a GPS to track someone needs a search warrant. Therefore using a drone would require law enforcement or any government agency to obtain a warrant which would show who or what is a target, what they are looking for with a date time to execute the warrant. If while on the 'search' mission, the drone observes some other violation not listed on the warrant, the violation can not be persued. Having a drone flying over peoples back yards looking for violations is unconstitutional. [and for the 'if you're not doing anything wrong, what are you worried about' types. Don't give up your constitutional rights so easily.]

And this would be the very same Congress that approved ordering 30,000 drones for use in the US by LE's ?
