Is Barack Obama really a liberal?
Most people who consider themselves liberal will say no, he's a middle-of-the-roader or even Bush Lite. Yet, a great number of people who call themselves liberals are intending to vote for him anyhow.
Why? Are you a liberal committed to liberal principles, or are you not?

Why vote for President Obama?
Because Mitt Romney has not said anything that will convince me that he would do a better job.
Oh, and I am a moderate Democrat with some views that would be considered conservative and others liberal.

Because Mitt Romney is white so I will vote for Obama even though he's done a horrible job.

Some liberals might pull for Rmoney with hopes he will install universal health care like he did in Mass.

I doubt that. The mass legislature passed that disgusting HC bill . He just signed away on what the leg sold the taxpayers to the ins co,s for. Just like gay marriage.

It depends on how one defines a liberal. But on a political landscape, he is a left-leaning centrist, and I applaud him for being that. It is just that our right wing has moved so far to the right that anything not up to their whim is "liberal".
Now, if you have specific questions about issues you wonder where I might or might not agree with him on... bring them on.
