I guess the OP forgot that little tidbit of information.

That's funny, I once heard of a libertarian thinker who once said that the status quo would eventually lead to a type of neo-feudalism:

The Road to Serfdom - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Somalia is best described as Warlordism, not Libertarian. Libertarians believe that government should protect the rights of the people. But you probably know that.

I'd argue we're living in a feudal society right now.... if not, then we're very close to becoming one.

A good point to investigate would be... why aren't we free anymore? And that, when were we?

The only part of Somalia that comes even remotely close to libertarianism is northern Somalia which is relatively stable and prosperous. Southern Somalia is basically The Road Warrior with Islamic extremists.

Hong Kong would be a better example or the hundreds of small scale libertarian (and libertarian-lite) policies from around the world. From the liberalization of drug policy in Portugal and the Netherlands, comparative freedom of speech in the US, the private retirement plans of Latin America, and so on.

And socialized health care from Britain, the Beveridge Model. And 50% of the population living in government housing.

Yes and socialized healthcare is also used as an excuse for the government to pry into the private lives and habits of the populace (but according to many posters that is a feature not a bug) and from the Brits that I have met who grew up in "council flats", it's pretty much the United Kingdom's version of the trailer park.
