Really, we have the stupidest management in the entire world right here in America. They could seriously phuk up a wet dream.

TWU Local 555 represents 8,400 Southwest employees. It says Southwest wants authority to replace up to 20 percent of them with workers provided by independent contractors.
Local President Charles Cerf said the employees have handled bigger workloads because of Southwest's policy of not charging for checked bags and that service would suffer if the airline used contract workers.
"Southwest has never been so adamant about wanting to outsource jobs and use contract workers," Cerf said.
Southwest spokesman Paul Flaningan said that Southwest "remains committed to negotiating a contract that protects job stability and benefits" of the employees "while at the same time protecting Southwest's long-term profitability." He declined to comment on specific proposals, citing ongoing negotiations.

Wallstreet will never let a good company just run and turn a consistent profit. They always want more, more, more. I'm sure that is the case with SW Airlines.

Some Hedgefund manager is putting pressure on the board no doubt to make more profit where there is none.

So they will hurt the company to get a larger return for one fiscal quarter.

That is why airlines should be regulated again.

Well, adjustments have to be made so these people can keep their jobs. I mean, unless you don't want them to have jobs.

Yea.

1.3 TRILLION DOLLARS in unfounded liabilities.

That's the amount that states owe to public employees over and above what they have.

And I'M "sick in the head"!

If you are roofing your house or building a deck, good luck finding a union contractor that does small jobs like that.

This thread doesn't even make any sense.
You mean that big businesses are FORCED to use and pay union wages.

You can crow against unions all you want but it's the smart companies who get the contracts to all the big jobs that DEMAND union labor! The thing with your GOP'rs is you really don't deal in reality at all, you are obsessed with your ideology that no one really cares about.
Let's review....

UNION STRONG members demand union wages for their labor, but choose to not hire other UNION STRONG people when doing work themselves, right?

There are THOUSANDS of union painters, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc. that we can choose to use when we do a project at home.....the proof that union labor is too expensive is in the fact that people (including UNION STRONG members) simply WILL NOT HIRE THEM at the same prevailing wages that they demand.

THAT'S the reality.

So, you must only choose SW when you fly, right?

You don't look for the "best deal" when you travel?

The Fascists hated Unions and educators. They gave the middle clas way too much power and Fascists wanted all the power at the top.
