Perfect! Rep Point for you I said it once I'll say it 100 times.. As soon as a business friendly President is elected there will be a huge up-tick in the economy..
Sorry. We've already had Presidents that were "business friendly" for decades. That's part of what put us in this economy. Executive income has gone up 600% in 20 years, blue-collar income has gone up a little less than 500% in the last 50 years, and expenses have gone up over a thousand % in the last 30 years.
You'll find that if there is not any additional income in all those jobs they're talking about, it won't do the economy any good at all. It's going to take time to reverse the effects of blue-collar abuse by business and government. That's right. They are equal partners in the blame for the economy. It's taken decades to get to this point. It won't be "fixed" in one Presidential term, and unless Obama begins to LISTEN to reason, it won't be "fixed" during his second term either. When the economy tanked, it was a domino effect. Worker's income was stretched up to, and beyond the limit. They had no extra money to spend, so demand for products dwindled. As company's inventories stacked up, workers were laid off, and that meant even less demand and plant closings and unemployment. But it was all caused by worker's wages stagnant for decades.
And, Romney is charging forward with blinders on as well. He has no clue how to "fix" the economy either. Like everybody else up there, he's grasping at straws that seem to sound good. They're all telling us how we have to live, but none are listening to the reasons why it's not practical.
And, as long as the news media keeps giving them a platform from which to be heard, and we only get to talk amongst ourselves, the leaders won't find out what the root of the problem is.
Obama's too arrogant to listen to anybody who really knows anything about economics and the disastrous policies of his, and especially his insistence on tax increases in the misbegotten belief that they'll cure what ails us.
His immaturity in refusing to accept blame for HIS economic policy blunders is very telling as well.
We live only within our means. It is becoming a struggle to buy groceries and gas while maintaining a roof over out heads. We have no car payments either. Prices have skyrocketed on everything and income is stagnant. I just lost my job as well. There are no jobs to be found.
I have 2 part time job opportunities that don't even come close to half of my full time pay.
With a family of 5 times are extremely tough. Dh hasn't had a raise since 2009.
Something has to change.
I did not vote for Obama but was hoping there would be some positive changes. It's getting worse. I will not vote for him this time around either. He is completely out of touch with what we as a country need.

Worker productivity drove higher worker TOTAL compensation in recent decades. However, virtually all of the gains disappeared into benefit costs, driven higher by the effect of totally-out-of-control health care entitlements. A fair fraction of the remainder has been siphoned off into middle-class entitlements, which have, among other things, ruined the market for college education.
The left's attempt to ruin the remaining vestiges of free enterprise, such as the near dismantling of the US community banking system and the attempt to force use of uneconomic energy sources, are not any form of solution to our challenges.
Government spending to create employment and boost demand? Green energy as an economic boon? Greece and Spain provide vivid, current examples of the folly of that.
Stop punishing the good guys because you are mad at the bad guys--punish the bad guys. Unleash the power of American ingenuity and freer markets. Don't kill the goose that lays golden eggs for a one-time dinner. In the near term, apply cost-benefit analysis to existing and proposed regs and ADOPT SIMPSON BOWLES.
Look, your buddy O is a failure. Sorry for all the bad news recently. Must suck to be a mindless drone
Parrots are cute, especially with their mindless parroting. I expect humans to do better, like knowing that the economy doesn't operate in a vacuum, like being able to differentiate political games from sincerity and honesty.
