All I am saying is kids are always going to find reasons to beat up other kids. They will find a reason to label someone different. I moved regularly, about twice a year, when I was in elementary school and I always had to beat someone up in order to stop being picked on.

That place should just be torn down, sold to farmers, and plant corn. The people that live there should be scattered to the four corners of the USA.

Can't be done.

1) No farmer is going to want that land, being surrounded by serial polluters doing horrible things to the groundwater and soil.

2) You can't forcefully remove people from a place, unless they are in public housing.

I happen to live in the four corners and do not like the idea of sending the trash here.plus the fact they wouldn't last a week.

So you think all people from East St. Louis are trash? Wow. What a way to judge people.

You referred to them as "the trash" so in my eyes, you are judging people.

And what if those persons made a choice to live in your neck of the woods? What would you do?

There are intersections where the traffic lights do not work, most of the roads in ESTL are in very bad condition, the average price of a home in ESTL is $40000.

Population is 98% Black and the other 2% are White, Hispanic and Asian. In your opinion, is there a way to fix a town in this condition? If so, what would it take to fix a town like this?

East of anywhere," writes a reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, "often evokes the other side of the tracks. But, for a first-time visitor suddenly deposited on its eerily empty streets, East St. Louis might suggest another world." The city, which is 98 percent black, has no obstetric services, no regular trash collection, and few jobs. Nearly a third of its families live on less than $7,500 a year; 75 percent of its population lives on welfare of some form. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development describes it as "the most distressed small city in America."
It is what most of America will look like when liberal policy finally "trickles down" to all of us. Liberalism is the fast track to poverty and third world status. Witness Detroit, the "shining shrine" of liberal thought.
