I wish feminists spoke up against the burqa. I think on some level they like it because it's anti-beauty.

Confused feminists may think it prevents lecherous men from ogling women. Trouble is that it is the most oppressive idea thought up against women. I'm totally for women wearing loose clothing that covers. But to mandate these shrouds is clearly not for the benefit of the women. It is a community controlling a member. Do feminists really wish such a thing for themselves?

It's for security reasons.

How is liberty and freedom defined by banning, or restricting?

Default Burqas and Similar Attire Should be Outlawed

I've always wondered, but was too lazy to Google, why burqas and similar attire aren't colorful.

Does Allah say they must be drabby?

In this country you have a right to bare arms. This is especially important in the hot summer months.

Also, what do male Muslim cross-dressers wear? You can't discriminate against them.

I have not read the different replies in this thread.

However I would ask of those who said it should be allowed in public, do you feel the same way about other people wearing masks completely covering their faces?
For instance would you have a problem with someone wearing a ski mask in a bank that you were in? How about a non PC type of covering, such as a full hood on a KKK outfit. If you are for those two examples, good for you, as you are not being a hypocrite. However if either rub you the wrong way, then ask yourself why.
