guess we're going to have 20 threads today to celebreating Obama dropping the price of gas, ironically from the very same people who said Obama had no control over the price of gas when it rose.

Maybe if our economy can get worse and worse, the fuel prices will go below $1.50! It will all be worth it as long as the fuel prices are low! I guess the low fuel prices will be Obama's doing then but Bush, along with ATM's and airline check-in kiosks, will be to blame for the bad economy.

"Look, look, my guy brought down gas prices"
"What did he do ?"
"Nothing, but he's the President so he brought down gas prices"

Then why all the fuss about more drilling permits and the Canadian pipeline?

Ironically but if Gas prices were "going through the roof" I am sure the right wing Conservatives would be blaming President Obama!
Voters tend to blame or praise the sitting President when it comes to the Economy.
Gas prices are down, New Home sales are up again, the GDP has been positive hence they equate that positively.
I agree with you that the President has no control over Gas prices but perception becomes reality politically.
