So does anybody know what it will do for us regular Americans who aren't children, elderly or single women who are pregnant?
Most of the health care services or free services always go to that group only and not the standard American who's not in that category who need help. Will his new law help the STANDARD american or no?
Will his new law help the STANDARD american or no?
Of course not. Since when has the Standard Working American Federal Tax Payer gotten a break.
Sure, a potty break once in a while, but let's face it,
your mandatory energy efficient "don't flush" toilets get
more respect
Pass the toilet paper, I think I'm going to
It's nice to see the Supreme Court making the right decision every once in a while.
Now, I wonder when we'll see real universal, government-run healthcare (like they do in Britain) OR run by non-profit private insurance companies (like they do in Switzerland) with real price controls.
They left out the part about exploiting the self insured/self employed small business
owners for fear it would anger folks actually paying for ALL of this
You mean we desperately need wake up to the need to stick with health care through bankruptcy for poor people and other people who refuse to buy health insurance?
That wasn't a comment on the health insurance act per se (though I disagree with it), it was a comment specifically aimed at the current unacceptable attitude of our rulers...er, 'leaders', who are *supposed* to be our servants. It was originally posted as a new thread but apparently someone *thought* it was a health care comment and merged it into *this* thread (and now it's getting buried in here with all the chatter about health 'insurance', which I was intentionally trying to avoid).

You mean, you really want to see a system where you have to go on a waiting list to have an operation and wait months to over a year to get it (whenever 'they' decide that they can expend the time and resources on you...if you get it at all), a system that allows surgeons to have the anesthesiologist keep you under, on the table, while they leave the operating room to go down to the local pub to have a pint and a sandwich because it's lunchtime and they're going to have their lunch break whether you're done or not?
Funny thing is the dems cannot fillibuster a repeal because rep can use the same tactic used to pass this bill.
Repeal and replace is coming and the dems cannot do a damn thing about it.
