It doesn't matter. Obama's opponent could be Peg Leg Pete, The Amazing Randy or Bozo The Clown. Obama even makes Jimmy Carter look good in comparison because Carter wasn't trying to change America, he was just inept. You mistakingly think this race is about two guys. It's not. It's about whether you like the socialist change Obama is heaving on America. The opponent could be anyone.
Romney is a decent human being, unlike Obama. Maybe that's what you don't like about him--he's not a lying liberal who wants to give you free stuff and tell you what makes you feel good.
Well, I agree that Romney is decent, as is Obama. Neither are dumb or evil, which is good. However, I think the job requires a lot more than just being "decent." The individual should have exceptional leadership skills, including force of personality. And one of the candidates is far closer to that than the other. Interestingly, Romney's Dad seemed to have the stuff. Mitt just doesn't. Huntsman was probably your best candidate, and Mitt was second, but this is just not your year.
Really, the only hope is if Europe implodes and the economy tanks.
I have to think that his ONLY goal is to become president. . . .he has neither the desire nor intention nor new ideas to make the lives of Americans better.
Almost every politician is full of crap and fake, including Obama. Many of them however are good at hiding it, but this Romney guy just seems to ooze it.
I could smell his bs a mile away.
Am I the only one??
oh, I am sure you are not the only one, but full of crap and phony is not what I see when I watch or listen to him: he has little personality, I think that is a no brainer and he isn't exciting (the two go together) but I don't think of his as being fake anymore than most politicians. You see it cause you simply do not like him or his party!!!!!
He seems like an elitist snob & the type who favors the rich for sure. He wants lots more wars as if they're free, just print up
another trillion or more & who cares if a million are dead or disabled if corps make billions.
He also showed his lack of sympathy for sick & dying by indicating he disapproves of medical marijuana. He said about cannabis re-legalization "aren't there any important questions?" Mr Romney, & Prez Obama,
how you deny the public the #1 request when it may determine painful disability or not, life or death?
Us attys arrested MI MMJ patients with cancer or whatever & said they were facing up to 5 years in prison if they live that long. DEA sent threatening letters to governors in states with medical programs, and bldg owners in CA were told their buildings would be seized if they didn't close the dispensaries.
OMG, I can't believe you would even suggest, because he or Obama do not approve of use of medical Marajuana they have no sympathy for the sick and dieing? Are you being a little over dramatic? And can you tell us where we can varify the information in your last paragraph? I personally know 2 people who use marajuana for medical reasons, in Ca. they have no trouble getting pot when they want it.
Yes, it's very unfortunate for the country that Obama has a likable personality. It got him elected once and it might again. It's set the country back years, placed millions of Americans in poverty, and cost our children trillions of dollars. While Obama flashes his big smile he's taking the country down. Maybe that's his goal. For whatever reason, he's doing a horrible job of running the country and should be fired. The only way to get rid of him and have a shot at national recovery is to elect Romney next November. I don't care how likable our national leaders are; I just want them to get us out of this deepening pit.
Romney is a rich man, with an enormous sense of entitlement. He seems to feel he should be President, not because he's qualified or has good ideas or cares about this country or the people in it. He comes across as insincere and completely full of it. This coupled with the fact that he's a member of a party that hasn't done anything positive for this country in recent memory, and you have a pathetic political figure. Romney stinks. Good observation, one shared by many.
Romney seems like a sincere family man who does care about those around him. He is successful in his own right. Like Obama he has switched positions on issues over the years. Some people do this naturally, some do it for political expediency. Some Republicans call him out on it. Few Democrats call out Obama for his large amount of flip flops and hypocrisy. I get the feeling that one side likes being lied to more.

Nah, we don't like being lied to. However, I do think we see things in Obama we like. He is a statesman, for instance, and a thinker too, who is quite capable of developing his own ideas. None of us expect our candidates to be perfect or perfectly consistent, but we want to respect them. That is where Romney falls short. I'll say I have always respected McCain until he started groveling for the right wing and made a terrible VP pick. He lost the election for that screwup, so I am back to basically respecting the guy, even though I only occasionally agree with him fully. Likewise, Bush I was respectable. Clinton? Not so much.
