isnt it true you can buy some health insurance and still get denied by these godlike companies?ithink a hospital induced disease is called by doctors in Latin a nozo comeo disease to hush up sleeze

is there a name for insurance induced disease?i feel thinking about the american health situation gives me that

any Health insurance horror stories you can tell?

Oh, let's see. Was just denied a routine follow-up PET scan. Insurance will only allow me to have one every 6 months. Since it was 3 months since my last scan (following international protocol), I was due for another. My oncologist only gave me a CT instead.

I was denied fertility preserving treatment during chemo (note: had I been a man, sperm banking was covered). I was also denied mental health appointments when I "went over" my allotted therapist visits after only 3 months.

Most importantly, I was denied a much more effective form of chemotherapy for a cheaper, less effective variety (ABVD versus BEACOPP).

Not so bad as some people, but dealing with the insurance company when you have a serious or chronic illness is almost a full time job in itself.
