Well yes, those were just the examples that immediately came to mind and definitely the most obvious. I do feel that way about social issues but I don't neccesarily agree with govt programs for everything and I am generally a fan of capitalism. This "middle ground" doesn't seem to exsit.
You're actually right on the money. Either you trust the government to make decisions for you or you don't. Either you believe the government is more efficient and effective than the market or you don't. The answer is property rights. However, there are some gray areas, i.e. abortion.
