Lol, only the loony left would describe a 17 year old boy as "mature". I am fairly certain your views are the same now as they were at 13, and then at 17. However, most of us change our views over time, as will this kid.
Yes the right elevated the same kid to celebrity status when he was 13.
Let us remember Churhill's comment, which is quite true-
"Anyone who is not a liberal when they are young has no heart. Anyone who is not a conservative when they are older has no brain".
Let us praise the heart of the kid and hope that he gains common sense. When he was "younger", he was simply rehashing his parent's views. Who takes their political cues from a kid anyway?
The kid grew up conservative, he's thinking about college, and now a liberal, when he gets older and wants the bucks and the hummer and house in the burbs, he reverts to the conservative view. Seems like a lot of hippy boomers did that. Rich, conservative white prep. schoo. kids rebelling against the folks, protesting the Vietnam War and surfing the trust fund as left wing hippies, but soon they turned into righteous Reaganite yuppie conservatives just like mum and dad. This dude will likely do that.
