Didn't a politician recently say we had too many firefighters, teachers and policemen?

i dont blame obama for the wildfires, that is stupid. i can blame him ofr the lack of proper equipment to fight the fires with though. rather than flushing money down the sewer with his "green energy" investments, he should have invested in proper firefighting equipment. the tankers may not have made a huge impact on the firefighting efforts, but they would be a help none the less.

You can blame some of the spread of the fires on the 'enviros'. They do their best to stop any dead wood and brush clearing.

These posts are utterly lacking in any understanding of the Colorado fires.

i understand the difficulty in fighting many of the wildfires, access being what it is in some of those canyons and hollows. and weather plays a part as well. in fact often times wildfires create their own weather patterns outside the norm.

however, when firefighting equipment that should have been purchased a year of so before but wasnt, then we can place part of the blame on the spread of the wildfires on the one that canceled the contracts to build the planes and other equipment.

how do i know this? for 9 seasons i worked in shenandoah national park, and we had wildfires there in many of those years, and we housed the firefighters. i took the time to talk to these guys about t he fires and their needs to control and eradicate the blazes.

No they didn't, they blamed Bush for failing to respond to Katrina, not quite the same.
