Not true ... the USA (and other countries) have been working on geoengineering "weather manipulation" for several decades. We can control the weather. Obama could even make it rain in Colorado to stop the fires if he wanted ... he just needs to seed the clouds with the proper chemicals.

It's not the individual weather event, rather it's the trend that we're on that is cause for concern.

I believe in the Butterfly Effect, but not Global Warming.

Some kid in Thailand just jumped in the water, that scared a fish, that caused a bigger fish to chase it, that got eaten by a shark, that caused a disturbance in a wave when the shark jumped, with the proper humidity and barometric pressure set in motion the destruction of Galveston, Texas on July 19, 2012 by a monster hurricane.

This could happen, but how do you predict it and stop it?

The trend over the past 3 years? That's called BS. Like I said ... the "global warming" is not global ... its localized ... which makes no sense on a global scale.

Wrong ... we don't even have weather data going back 100 years which is nothing in the scheme of the global temperature cycles.

Here is a Military research presentation from 1996. They were planning weather control for military purposes back then and they relied on existing and emerging technology from back then.

Like I said ... the government can make it pour (flood), they can create drought, and they can create/control severe weather conditions.

Right you are Our government is able to create severe weather conditions that affect our economy to cause recessions and bankrupt parts of the nation and create a social mess whose effects destabilize the overall system and cause huge repercussions for those in power. Hurricane Katrina would have been stopped and rain would have fallen in CA if that were the case.

Our government would LIKE to own the weather, but it doesn't.
