Reversing prior years of opposition to attempts to insert religion into public life, Ike gave his assent at long last, and in those years of Cold War nuclear peril, McCarthyism, and the Red Scare, none dared stand against the idea. Too bad the Prez wasn't somehow indisposed and unable to attend church that morning. Maybe all of this would simply never have happened...

Agreed - it will get worse. PC is taking a hold, liberals want to change this country to a socialist state. It will take another revolution of huge proportions to being our country back to its foundation. I feel sorry for my kids but at the same time I will teach them to stand up to the liberal bullying. I will instill a sense of values, respect and hard work in them and hopefully they can rise above this disrespect.

BTW, you do prove my point very well. Thank you for that. if you do not know what American culture is then you should never have been in college, but then we all know about the social promotions so many got in schools.
I'm genuinely interested. I missed the memo, or the lesson, of "American" culture. I feel at a loss. I'm honestly asking you to help educate me.

Yeah, and you can see some of the same types who push the PC crap and tell everyone that there is no American culture. Funny how every country is allowed to have their own culture except for us in the eyes of the PC crowd and the liberal hogwash that I see in some of the posts in this thread.
