Just imagine Iran saying something like this if Dick Cheney was POTUS.

Headline: It appears that the landmass that used to be called the country of Iran has now become an extension of the Persian Gulf.
The world now realizes the the ballistic power of the US submarine fleet is AWESOME.
500 independently targeted nuclear missles strike Iran in under one minute.

That's interesting because we can turn Iran into a glass parking lot in minutes!

Not that we should. Nor should we attack Iran, unless absolutely necessary.

They might be able to.

So much saber-rattling.
Missiles and so on fly BOTH ways. If Iran did something that stupid; well, I just hope the US doesn't have to clean up that toxic dump using body bags for the hundreds of 1,000s Iranians killed.

And Israel hasn't been repeatedly threatening to attack Iran for the last 2 years?

Why don't you check out the 100s of threads I debunked.

I like how Israel got its ass kicked until Golda Meier threatened to go nuclear and got Nixon to give up satellite intel and supplies to Israel -- so Israel wouldn't lose.

And physics. Or do you plan on ignoring physics? Or maybe you know nothing about physics and even less about things military.

So, General Chowhound, why don't you explain to every one here if Israel will be conducting in-flight refueling in plain view of the Iranians before Israeli planes enter Iranian airspace, or while Israeli airplanes are over Iranian airspace or will Israeli pilots be performing the standard kamikaze suicide mission and crashing their planes on Iranian cities after they run out of fuel?

Amused at the military intellect....

Mircea

Probably when people stop believing the BS spouted by the US.

I bet if Iran said they had a nuke you'd believe them.

Pointing out the contradictions....

We took down Iraq both times. We could've finished off Afghanistan but at what cost to their civilians? Just remember that Iran and Iraq fought a bad 8 year war to a draw; we took OUT Iraq in a few weeks. LOL

Not really. There are several bases that the kurds control (the kurds are allies of Israel) in northern Iraq
that could be used as supply bases. Israel also has 3 KC135 tankers for air to air refueling.

Also remember, in the 6 day war Israel hit all six arab nations and not one of them got an aircraft off of
the ground.

I think Israel and Jordan are closer than Jordan and Iran.

Also, when will people stop thinking that Ahmadinejad has any real power?
