They could have had Meg, one of the most successful businesswomen on planet earth. Instead, they chose Moonbeam. They get zero sympathy from me.

As Kilpatrick said in Airplane: They bought their ticket.....let 'em die.

Well you know everyone and their brother from SF to SD will want a stop. The more it stops the less the "high speed" there will be.

How far is Cali in debt now? And they can spend money on this. Simply maddening. And of course the left cheers on spending others money. Pathetic
What does the debt of the city of Cali, Columbia have to do with a high speed rail in California. FYI as one who lived in California until recently, no-one calls it Cali - that is a city in another country.

The state is California... or if you want to get regional - SoCal, NorCal, I.E. etc.

I just heard a discussion on the radio yesterday on this very point. It's estimated it'll take about 30 years to reap the original investment due to low ridership.

We just f'd ourselves again.

It's for the children. Sure, they are all illegal children, but still children...

Right!

Guys who build houses also build high speed rail systems.

Sure, why not?

Yeah, she got fired by investors from HP for gross incompetence. Sorry, but no matter how much people try to cheer lead the fact is business people tend to make very poor politicians in the US. The job skills needed to be successful are just completely different.
