Global Warming was created to give pseudo-intellectuals and stupid people something to believe in & promote Socialism.

In the month that witnessed Greenland's "Great Ice Melt", solar activity began nearing a high-pitch frenzy of plasma ejections. This 11-year cycle will peak later this summer, so please. Now, to make yourself (and those like-minded!) feel snug, donate as much as you can, while you can, to the coffers officially sanctioned by the Most Reverend Albert Gore, Jr. and his new-found religion, The Holy Dogma of the Coming Man-Made Flood I-Have-Been-Telling-You-All-About. If civilization continues you will most certainly get a charitable tax break you most definitely will need come April 2013.

Why is it that 'progressives', so hateful of the corporation, support slick slaespeople and their obvious scams especially when they are life-long politicos? Do they still hate W. so much they will coddle a fraud and shuckster? Or is the hole left by their dislike of tradition forcing them to look elsewhere for salvation and empathy?

Fossil fuel can stand on it's own but is also heavily subsidized.

It's less than alternatives but the big gap is when you consider per unit of production. I'm not sure what the current numbers are but in 2007 for coal it's less than 50 cents per MWh. Wind and solar were in the $24 range. You're certainly not going to notice a 50 cent increase in your monthly electric bill but a $24 dollar one will get your attention.

The fossil fuel industry doesn't depend on those subsidies and if they were removed those costs would get passed onto the consumer, they would never even notice because it's such small amount.

Which part of "Inter-Glacial Warming Period" do you not understand?

And so are volcanoes. What's your point?

Are you going to ban volcanoes? Good luck with that.

Okay, so?

That is not the Conservative position. Try again.

Uh, money has existed for a very long time without "energy."

To arrive at the Truth.

The Truth is we are in an Inter-Glacial Warming Period.

Quote:
Penultimate Interglacial Period ca. 125,000 Years Ago

We are in the current "Holocene" interglacial which began about 10,000 years ago. As mentioned elsewhere the middle of the Holocene was warmer than today.

Believe what your told is mindless really. I think like most people one has to ahev a opinio based on what they read. nothig proven until convinced. Wiht the e-mails of colusion withholding evdienc enoit supportig theopry and so mnay with a stake od gain supportig it.I think people are wise to be skeptical as always. There basic is no conclusion other than warm cycle which has occurred before. Besdies little evdence to really think that we can stop it;if true. Ehnvironmentaist have only themselfs to balme for not beig trust from past record;really.wioth all their claims ;i am just surprised they didn't immedaitely claiim Michael Jackson died of global warming .

I hope you don't own a car, heat or cool your home, and typed your rant on a computer powered by fairy dust.

"When one reviews all the data, both from thermometers and paleotemperature proxies, it becomes clear that the Earth has warmed significantly over the last 140 years. Global warming has occurred. Multiple paleoclimatic studies indicate that recent years, the 1990s, and the 20th century are all the warmest, on a global basis, of at least the last 1000 years. The most recent paleoclimate data reinforce this conclusion using longer records, new proxies, new statistical techniques, and a broader geographic distribution of paleo data.

There are, however, questions remaining concerning global warming. For instance, what caused the warming and what are the implications for the future? The answers to these questions are not simple.

There is considerable debate centered on the cause of 20th century climate change. Few people contest the idea that some of the recent climate changes are likely due to natural processes, such as volcanic eruptions, changes in solar luminosity, and variations generated by natural interactions between parts of the climate system (for example, oceans and the atmosphere). There were significant climate changes before humans were around and there will be non-human causes of climate change in the future.

Nevertheless, with each year, more and more climate scientists are coming to the conclusion that human activity is also causing the climate to change. First on the list of likely human influences is warming due to increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Other human activities are thought to drive climate as well. As the ice-core data show, the increase in carbon dioxide is unprecedented and well outside the range of natural variations. The recent increase matches the increase calculated from the fossil fuel emissions. There is little doubt that these gases will contribute to global warming, and here too the paleo record provides invaluable evidence regarding how much temperature change accompanied changes in carbon dioxide over the past several hundred thousand years."

That link wasn't to NASA. Maybe read it and you would see that and maybe you would learn something.
