DCThese signs appeared in Washington state and have been attacked by Washington, DC. Oh yes apparently the people at DC have threatened to withhold any money for Interstate highways in Wa. if the signs aren't taken down. The State says that the signs are on private property and therefore because of freedom of speech can't be forced down.

Bravo for the state of Washington

Love it, nothing more than anything Saturday Night Live did to Bush.

The best sign is not taxes but revenue enhancement fees. Even the Libs in Washington State are getting tired of his lies.... I mean untruths.

I'm amazed even Obama would try to dictate what someone could post on private property. The man's ego knows no bounds.

Washington and Oregon are actually fairly conservative outside of the Seattle and Willamette Valley areas respectively. I think Washington has more Republican congressmen than Democrat.

Would anyone care to post a link to a site where a single Washington state official is quoted, or a citation regarding the existence of the cited petition, or who the petition was issued to.

Thanks in advance (but not holding my breath).

This does not pass my 'smell' test. It reads and looks fake, and goggle does not reveal anything about this as news.

I mean, what does 'petition' mean? Is the Obama administration asking people to sign a petition? Did the administration send something to the governor of Washington asked for the signs to be removed?

I would also condemn the Obama administration of they were seeking to have such signs removed by threatening to withhold federal funds, but, as now, I see nothing to support this claim.

Deep in liberal territory. Can they force the signs to be taken down?

What did you Google under? I found a number of pages of this very thing there and didn't post the one I intended to tell about, just the one I thought more lefties would want to identify with. Blog after blog had it on from Google. You did mean Google when you wrote goggle, I hope.

Try Googling "Northbound on I-5", just for kicks.
