A dark skinned hispanic can not be asked his race and ethnicity when applying for a job as a police officer but when he gets the job and has to buy his weapon, he is asked to divulge his race and ethnicity on a government form no less.
So what is somebody like my girlfriend supposed to say? She's half mexican but doesn't look it at all. Is she committing a crime if she says no? What about if she says yes?
I think the bigger question here is why is that question even on the form?
