Don't you understand he's one of the most anti-business president's we've ever had?
Then why the bank bailouts? And saving GM and Chrysler? And not prosecuting countless financial execs who made Bernie Madoff's crimes seem like child's play? And not particularly increasing regulations on big business.
This is just another myth perpetuated by the Republican party. Outside of saving the world from a major depression and his impressive save of GM and Chrysler, Lefties like me think he has shirked his responsibilities on preventing future repeats of the financial games that caused the meltdown in the first place. Business execs should be very thankful for the softy Eric Holder.
Don't Americans understand that goverments do not create jobs, that's the responsibility of the private sector. American companies are still outsourcing jobs to countries where labour is cheaper, that's not Obama's fault that's capitalism.
These are the same companies that support the republican party. But at least the US is seeing some growth, and jobs are being created.
I agree with you Back to NE, the banks caused this disaster and they need to be regulated hard, because they've shown that they can't be trusted to regulate themselves.

The government should be able to change the climate of confidence and positivity, which this Admin has not. There is little confidence out there, and Obama has done little to lift it up or bring hope.
Is he going to force them with one of his cute executive orders? Don't you understand he's one of the most anti-business president's we've ever had?
Well, he offered to cut corporate tax from 35% to 25% to attract business, and I thought was a good idea, but it was fiercly opposed by GOP. He also offered tax breaks to companies who bring back jobs from overseas to US. I am independent, and not an Obama voter, but I supported both measures.

Huum, our company will pay over $100 million in new taxes next yr to support the new health care law...lets see, will we have more money to create jobs or will we use the new expenditure as a reason to not hire or let people go to help pay the tax bill.....

You must live on a different planet than the rest of us. The corrupt obama we all know did nothing you mentioned. Saving GM and Chrysler, not gonna hear a better joke that than one.
Saving the world from depression? You get funnier and funnier. He has practically single handidly destroyed this country with his communist ways. You want to live in Cuba, go for it, but don't bring it here..
He and Holder should both be in jail..... You need to find a better source of news, yours is way off base...

How, by making government more submissive?
The lack of confidence is due to: a) reality, growth-based capitalism is on its death bed for all but the developing nations; b) globalization, internet and automation continue to eliminate jobs, especially American jobs; c) particularly rich folks on the Right are sitting on their money and hoping for Obama to fail and lose re-election.
