Don't you think there are democrats that actually could be racists and many republicans as non-racists? Or do you just lump all white people into two groups under D and R?
During the Democratic primary a white friend of mine told me she over heard two white Democrats in a book store and one said "If we 'er going to have a Democrat for a president I rather it be a C...than a N....." I think when you are raised in an area where you are a distinct minority it is kind of a survival skill to know who you can trust and who you can't no matter what the political affiliation is.

White liberals as a group are...
All the above and more, being made up of individuals who are... individuals with all the strengths and weakness as any other group of individuals. But taken as a whole, without white Liberals (including in ancient times when their were Republican Liberals) we would still really be on the plantation.
I feel the same way about white liberals as I feel about everyone else. They mostly are great while some are nutty as a fruit cake. Same as black liberals, black conservatives and white conservatives. In my world everyone is different and just because they don't the same way as I do does not make them wrong. I enjoy being around open minded people.
